I recently came across this wonderful video by www.globalcitizen.org, it's worth a watch!   As you probably know the heART of a Woman Project's main objective is to empower women in developing communities. We aim to do so by educating women 15 years+ in photography using mobile technology.  You can see what we have planned for the pilot project in South Africa here, which is targeted for November 2013. By educating women in mobile technology it will give them access to new skills and new information which could be transferable and applicable to their lives in many other ways. It Takes a Village and the Ubuntu Philosophy

We know that it takes a 'village' and that this initiative can only be successful with your help! This is a grassroots initiative in that we know exactly where our time, energy and efforts are going and who it will affect. We are small initiative, but we have BIG ideas and goals. Many times it can seem that our efforts and hard earned dollars get lost when it goes to a big charity. While we do need those charities too, it's the smaller initiatives where you will see WHO you are helping. Every share, donation and moment of your time will directly affect the women of eKhaya eKasi and the people they care for as we aim to implement our pilot project there in November 2013.
